Welcome!

Hello!

With a decade of experience at TSD, I enjoy leading the ACCESS program. My passion for working with Deaf students started long before TSD, having spent 10 years at Phoenix Day School for the Deaf, first as an instructional aide and then as a Transition Specialist. My dedication extends to my academic background – a B.A. in Integrative Studies with a minor in Elementary Education from Arizona State University, an M.S. in Deaf Education from Idaho State University, and I'm currently pursuing a doctorate in School Improvement at Texas State University, where I also completed the Educational Leadership program. Originally from Illinois (Illinois School for the Deaf!), I've called many places home, but Austin feels like the perfect fit, and I see myself staying here for a long time. Outside of work, you can find me enjoying water activities or exploring new destinations, near or far.

Knowledge is power, and it can help you overcome any fear of the unexpected. When you learn, you gain more awareness through process, and you know what pitfalls to look for as you get ready to transition to the next level.
