Curriculum Specialist
I come from a family of educators and have always believed in the positive impact of public education. My journey at TSD began in 2010 as a mathematics teacher, where I taught a variety of courses ranging from geometry to precalculus over 11 years. In 2021, I transitioned to the role of High School Curriculum Specialist, where I now support teachers with instructional resources, technology integration, and professional development.
As our school continues to focus on creating inclusive and engaging learning environments, I am proud to assist our teachers in learning and implementing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies in their classrooms. This approach empowers teachers to meet the diverse needs of all students, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to succeed.
What is UDL?
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an educational framework that guides teachers in creating flexible learning environments that accommodate the diverse needs of all students. UDL emphasizes the use of multiple means of engagement, representation, and expression to ensure that every student, regardless of their learning style or ability, can access and participate in meaningful learning experiences. By implementing UDL, teachers can provide personalized support and remove barriers to learning, helping each student reach their full potential.
