RJ Kaufman
Growing up from Michigan, RJ always knew that being a PE teacher was his destiny. Being involved in sports since RJ was 3 years old. After attending Michigan School for the Deaf for the most part of his life, he finished his high school years at Model Secondary School for the Deaf, playing in 12 seasons of sports: Football, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, and Track. Gallaudet University was his next chapter in Education, he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. While there, he played 2 years of Football and 2 years of Basketball at college level. His last educational stop was at Western Maryland College where he earned his Master's Degree in Deaf Education. This is RJ's 20th year of teaching, with those 16th years at TSD (1 year at Michigan School for the Deaf and 3 years at Tampa Bay Academy).
Hobbies:
Bowling, Cornhole, Darts, refereeing high school basketball games, Detroit Lions, Michigan Wolverines, Spending time with my 3 sons.
