"The future depends on what you do today."

My favorite class in high school was Career Development, I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do for my future. While everyone else researched their future careers, my teacher made me do a ten page paper on my values. And who knew, I am now following her footsteps, teaching all things transition-related!

This is my third year teaching at TSD and I am teaching Career Preparation I and II.

I have over 30 years of experience in the human services field, with jobs in state government, non-profit, corporate and education settings. My primary experience has been working as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. I enjoy helping people realize their dreams, and advocating for their success. All of this experience provides an excellent foundation for teaching transition at TSD, providing real-world examples of work life!

I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's in Counseling from Gallaudet University, and am currently in progress with my teacher certification program with Teachers of Tomorrow.

I love to travel, being outside in nature and hanging out with my friends and family. I also love adventure and trying new things, the latest being Pickleball!
