Hello I'm Danny Blalock! I teach Automotive Technology class and a Dual Credit ACC Automotive course right here at TSD. This will be my 4th year teaching, and yes, I am a proud TSD alumni as I graduated in 2001.
I received an AAS degree in Automotive Technology at ACC – Austin Community College. What's more, I earned several current ASE (automotive service excellence) certificates. I've been running my own auto repair shop, aka Silent Automotive, based in Austin, TX for 12 years until 2019 when I decided to close the shop on good terms before landing here at TSD to give back to my community. Not only that, but I still do semi auto repairs in my home garage on my summer break and some weekends.
My wife and I have three CODA kids, along with 2 dogs - one is Lab/Doberman mixed and one is Mastiff mixed, and one black cat. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, doing outdoor activities, fixing anything with my hands, walking with dogs on trails, renovating home projects, car projects, car races endurance @ champcar.org , and so much more! I'm also a die-hard fan of the Houston Texans, Rockets, Astros AND Longhorns!
