Safety is a number one priority at the Texas School for the Deaf (TSD). It is the school's belief that preparedness and training in proper safety protocols will help mitigate incidents and prevent emergencies.

TSD Security Mission Statement:

Our mission is to collaborate with the Texas School for the Deaf administration, staff, students, parents, and the broader TSD community to achieve a shared goal: ensuring the safety and well-being of every student. We believe that fostering open communication and strong relationships among our safety personnel, students, families, staff, and the community is essential to maintaining a secure and supportive environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive.

Our safety team is dedicated to serving the students, staff, visitors, and facilities across the Texas School for the Deaf campus, providing a safe and welcoming space for all.
