TSD Performing Arts Program presented Little Shop of Horrors, review the pictures!

Originally conceived by author, Charles Griffith, in 1960, Little Shop of Horrors is an American rock horror-comedy that explores a seemingly non-threatening phenomenon that grows, quite literally, into world domination.  Set in the slums of Skid Row, it all begins in a small, run down flower shop with a sweet girl, a daring young man, a demented dentist and a man-eating plant.

"It was simple the best play EVER!  It was sweet, funny, frightening and musical!!!!  The cast was outstanding-- from the meek Seymour (Shane Carrizales,) to the sweet but dizzy Audrey (Chandra Bishop,) to the grouchy Mr. Mushnik (George Kutney,) to the hilariously evil dentist Orin Scrivello (Travis Wolf,) to the three sassy  girls on skid row (Jakiya Murphy, Gunita Schmidjorg, Darius Mickey Coleman,) to the sleazy interviewer (Gregorio Mata) and the beautiful most hungry plant, Audrey II (Jasi Kennedy.)  The skid row/customers/townspeople allowed seven more students to participate in minor roles.  They simply brought down the house the two nights I saw the play.
The voice interpretation was EXCELLENT.  Amazing.  The students "sang" several songs in perfect sync with the music and voice interpreters. It was good, campy fun.  I’m still singing the tunes in my head."
