TEXAS SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF’S HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE FAIR – MAY 17
Austin, Texas – May 17, 2013 – The Texas School for the Deaf TSD) holds its annual high school science fair today, in the school’s Seeger Gym, at 1102 South Congress Avenue.
Open to the public today, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon, over 100 students have teamed up to present and demonstrate their findings before a panel of judges from TSD, the University of Texas and Austin Community College (ACC).
Students are presenting 55 science projects in topics covering biology, chemistry, physics and anatomy.
Grand prize winners in two divisions – Freshman/Sophomores and Juniors/Seniors – will receive an Apple iPad mini, and runners-up in both divisions will receive cash prizes, ranging from $45.00-$100.00.
TSD’s science fair is generously sponsored this year by: Gallaudet University Regional Center Southwest at ACC and the TSD Foundation.
