Award-winning filmmaker Matthew Kowalchuk, known for his debut film that won the Canadian Comedy Award for "Best Feature," is working on his second feature film. This new project draws inspiration from his personal experience of losing his hearing as a teenager.
The film follows a star high school quarterback who gradually becomes hard of hearing and navigates his changing identity by joining a school for the Deaf. If you're a fan of shows like Friday Night Lights or films like CODA, this is sure to resonate with you!
Casting Details:
- Seeking Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened individuals to portray teenagers on a football team and cheer squad. No prior acting experience is necessary, as the project aims to authentically represent a range of hearing loss experiences.
