SPONSORS, PARTNERS SET FOR HISTORIC FIRST DEAF AUTHORS BOOK FESTIVAL

Austin, Texas – The first Deaf Authors Book Festival (DABF), scheduled May 6-7, 2022 at Texas School for the Deaf (TSD), is set to be historic with the support of sponsors and partners.

Dr. Steve Baldwin, Deaf Texas Foundation president, producer, and co-host of DABF, shares his optimism in receiving more support for the event.

“The goal is to raise $47,000 for this literary event.

“We are halfway there as of early March, and we’re hopeful that a few more sponsors will sign on to make this event a success.”

As for DABF partners and sponsors who have already signed on:

“The Greater Austin Foundation for the Deaf (GAFD) is proud to partner with DABF to bring an unprecedented book event to the greater Austin Deaf community.” - Paul Rutowski, chair
