TSD Celebrates 2019–2020 Retirees

Dear 2019-2020 Retirees,

I imagine many of you have mixed emotions about not having an in-person Retirement Celebration this year. (I can hear some mumblings like…”Thank God I got to skip that part!”)

For me, I want to be clear that the COVID-19 pandemic will not get in the way of my honoring each of you for the gifts you have shared with TSD.  Thank you for your many years of service to our school and our students.  Thank you for the time you missed with family, the extra hours you worked to meet a deadline, the time you sat in traffic, your patience with the kid who tapped your buttons, and the many times we should have said “Thank You” and didn’t.

I will miss the opportunity to give you a hug and share a memory or two about you.  I know your colleagues will too.

Careers coming to an end should be celebrated!  We are celebrating YOU!  A 40-chapter book can still be amazing even if the last few pages are goofy!

So, on behalf of all us, I wish you the best in this next chapter of life-long learning.

 Virtual hugs and cheers,

Claire Bugen,
Superintendent
